Sure, lol. Everyone being kids is a gimmick that doesn’t necessarily move the needle either way for me, just want a decent story and fun fights

 

I know the DB franchise is huge on building up to reveals, but it’s curious that there are no forms beyond base level shown in the teaser. I wonder if being kids will slide their ki back at all. Would be an interesting way to bring the stakes back down to earth a little if every enemy wasn’t some god-like being that makes SS Blue look like old news

 

It it makes Yamcha relevant again I’m here for it!!!!

 

Dragon Ball DAIMA. Aka Dragon Ball Super GT. Aka A Pup Named Scooby Goku

 

Goku as a kid and using the bo staff again, plus it’s all created by Toriyama with him putting more effort into it than anything else lately is phenomenal.

I’d take this over an anime of what we’ve already read in the manga. We’re basically getting an official Toriyama GT.

 

Hello. I’m Akira Toriyama.

I’m currently working on a new Dragon Ball. The Title is “Dragon Ball DAIMA”.

“DAIMA” is a made-up term, which in Japanese characters would be “大魔” or in English would be something like “Evil.”

Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they’ll head off to a new world! It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world.

Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Nyoibo (Power Pole) to fight, something not seen in a long time.

I came up with the story and settings, as well as a lot of the designs. I’m actually putting a lot more into this than usual!

Things will unfold that close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball world. Hope you enjoy these different-from-usual battles that are cute and powerful!!

If it were a spinoff to fill the time gap between DB and DBZ, I'd be on board, but no more turning adult characters into kids. Jesus.

 

I’m into it due to GT not being canon.

Give us more than convenient super power up. Moro and Granolah exhausted me. I was not looking forward to years of anime repeating the same steps.

 

I believe the technical term is "smol".

 

Dragon Ball has explored everything there is to explore and then some, idc what they do from now on. this looks cute. i want new Budokai Tenkaichi 4 news so bad

 

They've introduced a dozen other universes in Super and haven't really explored Ultra Instinct much in the anime (Ultra Ego is manga-only), so hopefully this new show utilizes some of those things. You also have Broly in the mix and Frieza with a new outrageous form, so I also wonder if they're just going to address those things with the manga and move on to new stories with this new anime. Really hard to tell what exactly this is or when it fits into the timeline (if at all).

 

The transformations and new planets were never the heart of the show. It was the arcs of the characters, and nothing much has really happened since the end of the Cell Saga.

 

I’m assuming Daima takes place after dragon ball super hero. The super manga will end and will continue in a manga adaptation of Daima

 

Vegeta, Gohan, and Hercule all had good character arcs in the Buu saga. Vegeta also had a good character reflection in the Moro saga in the super manga when he had to go back to Namek. The whole god ki concept was also pretty big as they retconned it to connect to Buu and Uub along with the angels and gods of destruction.

 

What was Vegeta's arc? He already was evil before and redeemed himself by helping Gohan beat Cell. Gohan had already learned to use his power in the Cell arc as well.

 

So the show should just end? I don't understand your point. The transformation and new planets and lore serve as a platform for the characters to develop and interact. I was saying there is still plenty to explore and plenty for the characters to do, as established by Super. For example, there is an entire planet of Saiyans that exist in U6 so there's bound to be some meaningful story to tell there by exploring that.

 

When he allowed Babidi to take control because he was still mad about Goku getting the best of him and was willing to do whatever it took to prove he could beat Goku, only for him to realize it was at the cost of allowing Buu out from his egg and sacrificing himself to try to kill Buu. Then as he watches Goku fight Kid Buu he finally admits that he will never be equal to Goku, but he’s actually grown to be content with it.

 

This was all covered in Frieza and Cell.

 

He was still evil in Frieza, he just teamed up with Goku and co because the enemy of his enemy. I feel like his actions were teased in the Cell with him reverting back to his old saiyan ways when he let Cell absorb 18, but the dynamic between Goku and Vegeta reached its conclusion in the Buu saga. Then it was restarted a bit in Super because they have to keep it going

 

I guess I should finally give up on the rest of Super being adapted and just read it

 

Probably the best bet. At this rate the manga arcs will be in games before the anime.

 

kinda hope Daima is not perma kid version of the cast. selfishly, super hero ended with what seemed like a fresh outlook for Vegeta (and maybe a new form to reflect) and I wanna see more beast gohan and orange piccolo.

 

I’m wanting to play the Demon King Piccolo DLC in Kakarot but I have to play through the Bardock story line first. I just don’t care for Bardock. I think the space stuff is my least favorite part of Dragon Ball lore, aside from Baby/Truffle in GT.
