The chapter ended with the villain getting another new form yet again. This arc needs to just be over

 

I liked this more than any of Super lol.

 

I like Garlic Jr saga more than most of Super

I’m completely convinced the writer has no idea what to do. Just gotta keep the chapters pushing because Dragon Ball sales. They only thing he knows is more Goku form. Goku strong.

Like, at this rate, just prematurely end the series without even closing it. Wait until you know what to actually do with the characters and start it again.

 

Leaks for this month’s chapter just came out. This arc was like a 3/10 but after these leaks it’s jumping to like a 6/10. Glad they finally did what they did.

 

Well that escalated quickly

 

I just hope they make it interesting. This is the third enemy this arc so they could easily just recycle the same formula they've been overusing.

Vegeta gets the upper hand, enemy says "Wait, now I'm stronger" and wins. Goku gets the upper hand, enemy says "Wait, now I'm stronger" and wins. They retreat and heal themselves. Repeat for no apparent reason.

 

I’m just glad Gas is dead for good and Frieza returned

 

Grabbed tickets to see Super Hero in theaters tonight. They actually even had the option for the Japanese subbed version which I thought was pretty cool. Really pumped to see the dubbed version though.

 

I'm going on Sunday!

 

My theater is only showing subbed in the imax equivalent screens so I went with that. Would prefer dubbed, though.

 

Okay that movie was a TON of fun. It felt like one of the DBZ movies from the 90s but a little more lighthearted like Dragon Ball. It was also refreshing being able to get a couple hours of DB content that wasn’t just the Goku and Vegeta show.

Finally this arc is done. Super will be taking a break before the next arc.

 

New chapter is... bizarre. Looks like they are taking a few months off which is whatever. Hopefully it comes back with something that is actually interesting.

 

Knowing there is a post-credits scene almost makes me not want to go see it.

 

That's just a little extreme. haha. It's just a fun little gag at the end.

Re: the manga... That was such an abrupt and bizarre ending for that saga. It was content to drag its feet for the last year, needlessly prolonging these battles, only to have Frieza swoop in, one-shot Gas and fuck right off in a single chapter while everyone else shrugs their shoulders and go home.
Also, the way this chapter ties in to the new movie is a little intriguing to me. Goku mentions in the movie that he and Vegeta still have strong people to fight but he's mostly talking about Jiren and says nothing of Frieza. But then he also says something about Frieza searching for Broly so he's definitely still alive. So I'm not sure what their relationship with him is at this point.
