Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is confirmed for a Summer 2022 release in America. They also finally aged Goten and Trunks
I’m just happy to see Gohan and Piccolo front and center. Red Ribbon Army being back is also a treat. Seeing a teenage Gotenks would be cool, which the photo hints at. Trunks’ finger is off so maybe a failed fusion? That has to be intentional.
I know this is Dragon Ball we're talking about, but they've done this formula to death at this point. Every manga chapter for the last however long has been "Character A gets stronger from some new form or arbitrary powerup, beats down Character B for the whole chapter. Character B reveals he too has a powerup or new form. End chapter." Then they repeat this same trope chapter after chapter until it just sort of ends.
I know lol I didn’t think I needed to add the Super. The store did have some original Famicom games, but they were of the original Dragon Ball. if I’m going to play a game based on Dragon Ball then I’d just turn on Advanced Adventure.
I was just being a dick. What kind of games are below the Super ones? At first I thought they were Famicom, but they look way too small. It's too blurry to really tell. I'm assuming they're actually way below the Super games and their size is just an optical illusion.
I’m pretty sure they are N64 (looks like a banjo kazooie cartridge underneath), but I didn’t look through them. I was only looking for Famicom and GBA games. I found a sealed Legacy of Goku 1 & 2 double pack, but that’s about it for GBA.
My brother and I played the shit out of the first Goemon game on SNES. The soundtrack is incredible. Funny enough, when I got COVID last month, I went down a rabbit hole of all of these old games I used to play and discovered there were now English ROMs for all of the SNES/Famicom Goemon sequels. I played and beat all four games that week (it was also the first time I ever played the third and fourth games).
Okay this latest chapter was pretty damn good. Goku's flashback at the very end was such a great moment and better than I would have ever expected it to be.
Damn I did not know about Toei’s legal situation. Apparently the DBS movie is delayed indefinitely (along with a bunch of other stuff) because they got hacked?
I get that the month by month release is the standard format, but man, I wish they would just wait a while and release them in like three big chapters or something. We've been on this arc for a year and two months now, and I'm still not really even sure where it's headed. Even just the fight with Gas has been ongoing for nearly 6 months now, only to reveal that Bardock beat him by getting a random powerup just because. Great.
Gas is also probably the worst villain in Super so far. He has barely any motivation and is just a glorified henchman who got powered up by dragon balls. What a POS
I even feel like they are sort of leading up to the idea of him turning on Elec, but who knows. I also think either Gas or Granolah will die due to the stipulations from the wish as well so.... I'm not even completely sure who the true antagonist of this arc is outside of Elec (who has done next to nothing of importance), nor do I have any idea where any of this is supposed to lead.
