Finally got into some FighterZ games this morning, game's super fun. Feels like ArcSys's take on Vs. games, frantic and obviously looks incredible. I can't wait to get my hands on the full thing.
Yeah, I fooled around with the tutorials a bit yesterday when the matchmaking was completely broken. As with every ArcSys game, the tutorials are pretty good.
Dragon Ball Super anime may be ending on March 25. Eight more episodes. :/ News | "Dragon Ball Super" Timeslot Shifts to New "GeGeGe no Kitarō" Anime Project in April 2018
I hope that's not true just because they've hardly jumped very far forward. No Uub, basically no Goten & Trunks, etc. plus, they introduced us to eleven other universes and decided not to show us the four "best" ones. Also, didn't they say they're going to be putting out another movie eventually? Maybe that's the direction they're going.
This seems to be pretty true unfortunately. 1) Another anime is taking its Sunday at 9 AM time slot starting April 1 2) This will leave Dragon Ball Super at Episode 131 on March 25 ---Blu-ray Box #11 in Japan was originally set to go through Episode 133. This was recently revised and changed to 131. It all lines up. :(
Oob did appear in the latest chapter of the manga, but I was hoping to see him have a bigger part. The manga may still continue on -- this information is only regarding the anime. But yeah, Dragon Ball Movie #20 will be coming out in late 2018. At least there is still that to look forward to.
Yeah, agree with all that. I'm thinking it's a hiatus but that's a total guess. I feel like it's been really successful and picking back up after the movie release would be cool.
There is no way it is over. It has done incredibly well on merchandising and the Dokkan game for phones has often been #1 top grossing in like 15 countries at a time when they release new characters. The new trading card game is doing well ffs lol. Dragon Ball is probably never leaving for better or for worse. The 20th movie is hyping itself as all about Saiyans. I suspect it will be Vegeta going to Sadala, all those Saiyans and ours beating a filler boss, and ending with a hook for a new arc.
Just imagine if it is a hiatus and the episode on March 25 will end with Universe 7 being eliminated. I’d kms
The actual announcement of the timeslot replacement included: "Fuji TV says that while there are no set plans for the broadcast of a new DB show, “it’s not like the series is over”." It's coming back, I'd put money on April 2019. Off for a year to focus on the movie/get the manga/dub up to speed, then back they go.
unfortunately, the dub is still almost two years behind unless they pick up the pace. i really don't understand it. toyataro said a while back that he expects the manga will actually surpass the anime, should be interesting.
oh huh, didn't really know where either the dub/manga were, just that they were behind. kinda crazy they let the dub get so far behind, you'd think a new dragonball series would be an easy slam dunk for a quick dub especially when we're at a point where far less popular series are starting to get dubs just weeks after airing.
yeah, toei are notoriously stingy with licensing. i think the dub is in the mid-40's and the sub is in the 120's. the manga isn't far behind at all, it's in the ToP arc, so the sky is the limit on where it goes inbetween.
baseless reddit speculation was hoping that Toei has noticed how much of the paying fandom are adults with disposable incomes and not children who are new to it, which certainly is the case in the west. would be awesome to get like a Super Z in a primetime slot that can, like, show blood.
I’ve read (from Facebook comments) that a few of the people who work on the show did not want to commit to the rest of Super due to the VA of Bulma dying. They said it wouldn’t be the same due to her being that character since the beginning.
I'm about halfway through the DBZ manga and when I'm done with that I'm finally starting the Super manga. I'm hoping I like it more than the anime. Also Dragon Ball Z is legitimately fantastic.
you will love the Super manga. they really gave Toyatoro free reign to do his own thing, and does he ever.
I enjoyed both the Dragon Ball and DBZ manga more than their anime counterparts. I’m wanting to start the DBS manga once it’s completed.
also, for when you outpace the retail collections, the Super manga is translated chapter by chapter as it is released, for free on Viz's website
I think the manga is even better for Z too and I already adored that. It just cuts so much fat and is constantly engaging/fun.
I'll probably just wait for them to be released, it means I'll always be behind but I like reading physical manga.
