Lmao. Idk who sin3D is or what that screen shot is from, and I’m definitely not gonna pretend like that’s not a hilarious burn — but man. 732 records? In the first half of the year? There comes a point where I have to lose faith in a person’s ability to reliably absorb & accurately critique music. That is simply too many records

I do have to agree, that's a shit ton of albums and at what point are the reviews accurate if you're listening to that many records and probably only doing one or two listens at most?

Good lord lol that’s just.... too many. I mean, whatever makes them happy. I just don’t know how one person can listen to that many records and pretend like they’re really making any attempt to absorb even half of them or that they even actually remember them all outside of the 5 minutes they’re scribbling down a passing judgement for their ranking. I wonder how long that list takes to put together — part of me thinks they probably just have a running list and they just rank each record as they listen through the year. Which.... that’s even worse

 

I just checked the whole list. They gave Hot Mulligan's EP a 7.3/10 at rank 235. Pretty good.

I don't recognize 95% of those albums. I really don't know anything about modern music huh.

 

Regardless it was a super unnecessary burn and kinda rude.

Also opinions are allowed to be different but this album is certainly not a 2/10, come on now.

 

I'd say this isn't really a straight forward mid-west emo album. Not really even accurate.

Something about the "hurr durr the singer sounds like Kermit" jokes annoy the hell out of me for some reason.

 

I hear you on this — it’s fine if that’s a general criticism people have and like I said I actually thought it was kinda funny, but yeah for it to be the only thing they say about the record is real lame. Then again, I wouldn’t expect much more from a person that likely gave this not a single minute over its runtime of their attention

 

i really really fucking loved this. it felt kinda like greet death but with way more influences brought into the mix. the last song decides to go all alt-country out of nowhere? fuck! i love it.

 

Yeah this has aged very well for me. Enjoy it more each time I listen.

 

I think it’s safe to say it’s my favorite album of the year

 

Honestly this cover is a banger and I love the alt-country sound to it.

 

I still listen to this on a weekly basis, such a fantastic album

 

Giving me some Hotelier vibes. Some of the guitar riffing in the second half of the song reminds me of TWIABP, no surprise there since Chris produced again.

 

Good song. I think I liked the vibe they were going for on Proof a bit more.
