They've talked about how there are some pockets around the country where it's always been bad and has a terrible reputation. Here it's always been a little above the other big chains in terms of quality. It's was pretty much the only fast food I ate for a while, but I refuse to go since I heard about this shredded lettuce bullshit
I remember buying a triple baconator with my first full-time paycheck and feeling so adult and proud. RIP Wendy's.
I had the cookie dough mixed Frosty recently and it was pretty good. But I do agree it’s a pretty worthless place. Even breakfast sucks there.
I grew up in Columbus, OH so I always had pristine Wendy’s and loved it. I’ve lived in Chicago since 2008 and it’s always been shit here. I genuinely miss the 20004 Spicy Chicken Sandwich* *fattest thing I’ve ever said
Wendy's genuinely felt fresher than other fast food for a good chunk of time, at least leading up to maybe the 2010s and a little beyond. It's been a steady and unfortunate decline over the past 10-15 years. As someone who's trying to limit fast food intake more than I used to, I don't know if I would ever reach for it over something like Taco Bell or even McDonald's at this point.
The only reason I would reach for it anymore is nostalgia, which is pointless because they changed everything
I started going a lot when I could get a $5 biggie bag and a coupon for a dollar off a chicken sandwhich, then they raised the price of biggie bags and said you can’t use a coupon with one. Fuck that greed, haven’t gone back since. Hope that $2 they saved was worth it
This. They used to have 4 for $4 and in the app you could add a 6pc nuggets for another $1 but they upped it to $6 and no longer have the app coupon for the nuggets, so fuck them.
