I haven’t listened to the ep yet but re: flop, that’s not an issue so much as the integrity of the top of the pie in relation to the crust. If you pick out a slice and everything falls off, it’s a bad pie

 

Everyone hypes up the halo jump from MI Fallout but I think that’s one of the weaker parts of that movie. It rules that he did it for real like 100 times but then they just add in a CG thunderstorm he’s falling through and it makes it not real.

 

I just think it pales in comparison to the entire third act

 

This is my issue with the underwater vault in Rogue Nation. Yeah, that's crazy that he held his breath that long, but it looks like any other CGI underwater scene on screen.

Mick I agree with this! It really bothered me on my first viewing. Tho the shot of Cruise running and jumping from the plane rules.

To be fair, I would not suspect a forum called Chorus would be a prime Spoonman hang-out spot on the Internet.

 

I’m less bothered by the CGI storm (Cruise being sent flying by the “lightning bolt” is still a practical stunt and makes it worth it imo) but that sequence lost a lot of luster for me when I found out most of the landing spot is CGI. Ditto for the big motorcycle jump in Dead Reckoning.
