i’m not trying to be rude here please don’t take this to mean something i’m not intending but the way mick talks about subway - again to be clear a restaurant i enjoy more than probably everyone outside of him in this thread - feels trumpian at times

“every subway i go to is packed all the time” like i can hear this in the human cheeto’s voice

 

Pointing out how wildly popular Subway is is more honest than anything that piece of shit has ever said

 

i don’t think i’ve ever been to a restaurant other than a few here in town that have like a waitlist for fine dining that are ever constantly packed

go to one of those subways at like 2:30pm

 

I am just too precious about sandwiches to waste a meal on Subway. In a pickle, maybe, but we’d probably just go through McD or something.
Regardless, they are objectively popular and crowded pretty often

I didn’t even bring it up today! Also I’ve been to the subway in Union City multiple times, its a great subway and there was always a ton of people in line

The two fast food restaurants in our area that are consistently packed are Chick-Fil-A and Raising Cane’s.

 

I don’t understand the obsession people have with those Chickfila and canes. They’re both fine but people act crazy over them.

 

Chicken fillet is always packed here

 

The CFA around here fucks up traffic on an already traffic fucked road because the drive thru wraps around the building and spills out into it. I don’t get it

Yup. I drive that road almost daily it sucks. That Taco Bell is super hit or miss

is that where you live? The Subway I’m talking about is right outside Union City, it’s in a gas station and it’s very popular and good. Worth the drive

 

Waterford and Union City are right next to each other (and Erie), they're all only about 10-20 minutes away from each other. I didn't know about a Subway in Union City, but it doesn't surprise me that there's a gas station one. The one in Waterford is in a plaza with a Doctor's office and my bandmate's coffee shop, that's the one I never see people at. But the only other franchise there is a Little Caesars. The McDonalds in Union City is banging though, or at least it used to be.

 

i love that every time i catch up on 2+ pages of this thread it keeps coming back to Subway.

i’ll go to different sub shops based on what flavor i’m looking for/what’s nearby.

hot chicken sub, Subway or Potbelly’s. not as many Potbelly’s near me, though.
cold club with oil & vinaigrette, Jersey Mikes or Firehouse
quick/simple BLT or Turkey club, Jimmy John

Had Jersey Mikes last night for the first time in about a year and it rocked. No reason to go anywhere else imo

 

Value. A thicker, heartier sub jam packed with fresh veggies for less money

 

But it’s so bad tho so there’s no value in it.

Last year I had subway for the first time in forever. I thought there’s no way it’s as bad as everyone here makes it out to be and that everyone was just going for easy dunks and making fun because of Jared. I went in with an open mind and gave it my best shot but I threw it away after a handful of bites. It was just really bad.
