I actually went to Shipley's today because of this episode. Kolaches were really good (but they were like $3 a piece) but the donuts kinda sucked.

I can imagine what it is, but it's not something I've ever seen on a menu anywhere.

 

It's ubiquitous in Texas and is definitely delicious, but I agree with Sam that you only want it if they're cutting it up fresh right there. You don't want the leftover bullshit served out of a crock pot he described.

The packaged Krispy Kreme brand crullers they sell at grocery stores are so good

 

Krispy Kreme is mushy bread held together by a disgustingly sweet sugar shell. It’s fucked and disgusting.
