I think I said it the last time this was brought up, but I feel like your enjoyment of Subway really boils down to how much shit you want on your sandwich. I only really want lettuce, tomato, onion, dressing (ie: Mike's Way) but if you want to load up with bell peppers and olives and cucumbers and shit, I can see the appeal of Subway, though I still think it's pretty low quality and tasteless.

 

had Jersey mikes for lunch today haha. Sure, it’s “better” but it’s also more expensive and has less options. And there are legit 6 subways within 15 minutes from me, and only one jersey mikes

 

here's how close I am to a Subway to illustrate my point. the red line is the two minute walk from my apartment to the entrance and i've never stepped foot in there:

 

As a former sandwich artist, I hate going to Subway because you always leave smelling like the place and I don't need to recall some of those memories. That said, I do see the appeal because it's still one of the healthier fast food options.

I think I already shared how I worked there for 2 weeks as my first job before quitting to work at Baskin Robbins and the guy who came in and said "Hey! I don't want none of that garden shit on my burger!"

Fuck that place. They made you sign away your breaks for a 6" sub and I got in trouble for putting too many pickles on a sandwich.

 

you deserved to get in trouble those pickles are whack, nobody deserves that

 

I might start referring to anything I order as a burger.

 

Don't even get me started on the mustard there.

 

What could you possibly order at subway that needs mustard??

Bread in the fridge???

 

I also find this bizarre, but I've seen people do it before. We also keep bread in the freezer occasionally, but we're primarily a breadbox/pantry household. We have butter in both depending on the use.

I live alone, so I usually put bread in the fridge otherwise it'll go bad WAY before I can finish it

 

Same! Most of my bread goes in the fridge or freezer to avoid mold or my cats eating it

 

I’ve put bread in the freezer before if I know it’s not getting used. But we usually don’t have bread around the house.

 

I'll put a loaf of bread in the freezer if I'm already working on another one, I'll take it out and let it defrost and eat it normally.
