I only really disagree with him on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Otherwise, I think he and Allison have generally good (if occasionally annoying) takes and this is a great take. Iirc, he likes Covenant, too!
Had recently rewatched Falling Down so I decided to check out Jamelle's podcast and I'm really liking it. A nice companion piece to having just read Klosterman's The Nineties. Trying to understand the politics and socioeconomic climate of a time in which I was alive, but too young to be plugged to those things, through the lens of the pop culture in which I was extremely plugged in is very helpful and gives me a new way to look at both.
I was a little concerned to see how it'd hold up. It definitely takes on a new context in the current climate, but Schumacher doesn't really glorify D-fens or really sympathize with the character too much, he's kinda just a huge dork like most angry white men these days. The message is a little weird and muddy and I'm not exactly sure what he's trying to say, but it's still as entertaining as you probably remember it being.
I live in Chicago and been to Milwaukee countless times but never had/heard of Kopp's. Will definitely hit it up the next time I'm up there!
This easily got the biggest laugh out of me. I'm curious to hear how Mitch's diarrhea works out on the roadtrip to Detroit.
I’m doing a 64 choice “Best Appetizer” tournament over on my bracket IG, starting tomorrow. @The Spoonman i know you’re in
Seeing “‘Wiger butt fuck’ - Nick Wiger” in the comments, I realized the Snack Or Whack’s on social are giving freaks more ammo for the drops.
Listening to the double, what a dumb fun idea, make Emma an official doughboy and I legit love Mitch’s relationship with his mom. I wish I could spend that much time with mine.
