Raising Canes is fantastic

 

So happy to have more Doughboys every week. This double was classic.

They really don't have enough episode space to add to the loser's bracket, Wiger probably fought with Mitch about that off air

 

i haven't gotten around to monday's episode yet, forgot there would be a double, another episode in two days...falling too far behind

 

I'm surprised Wiger didn't put up more of a fight on the podcast for the sake of the show, but I feel like Mitch throwing BK and RC into the tournament at the last minute is a calculated move by both of them. It's kinda what I've come to expect from this show. If the tournament just went without anything like this happening, it wouldn't be right.

Also, can't wait for Armin on the show tomorrow.

Guess I'm trying Raising Cane's on Friday during a day of binge drinking and basketball.

 

I have never even heard of Raising Canes

 

Me neither until they came to Ohio 2 years ago. Great chicken fingers and the fries are okay.

 

They just opened about a year ago. Not sure what happened but we got seriously 5 different chicken places last year. Popeyes, chick-fil-a, Wing stop, rasing canes, and zaxby's.

There may be one or two more also that I'm forgetting. They all popped up in like 6 months of each other.

 

Raising Cane's is pretty great, but I think I prefer Popeye's personally.

 

The only reason I've never tried it is because I like Popeye's too much haha

 

Caniac combo, sub the slaw for second toast, you got yourself a good thing

 

Is their coleslaw not good or are you just not a coleslaw fan? I can get down on some good coleslaw from certain places but it varies so much place to place that I usually substitute it anyway.

 

Just a general slaw hater

 

Their coleslaw is good, someone i talked to suggested trading it for toast but I need the cold crunchy contrast to all the fried food I'm getting

I get the Box combo as it comes with a lemonade

I don't put it in the same category as Popeyes at all. I wouldn't order tenders at Popeyes and Canes doesn't have regular chicken

 

Two years? Pshhh. Cane's has been an Ohio State staple for much longer than that. Maybe it's only just hit Cincy that recently (that's whereabouts you reside,right? or am I way off?). It's actually, afaik, not in NE Ohio. We got Guthrie's a few years ago, and that's about the same deal. Worse toast, but everything else I've found to be comparable. Actually fries are probably better at Guthrie's.

 

yeah, I should have specified SW Ohio haha. Ohio's a pretty big state. I had no idea it was in NE Ohio. I thought it was just slowly making its way to the north starting with SW Ohio haha

 

There was a wingstop less than a mile from my apartment when I moved in back in August. I got to eat there twice before it closed which sucks because those were easily some of the best wings I've ever had.

 

Wing Stop was always the only wing place my parents would go to. Plus I think BWW just popped up here when I was maybe in high school? Wing Stop is based in Dallas I guess so that's probably why it's so popular here

 

Their wings are just always fresh and crispy. Good stuff.

 

So I just got a 10 piece McNugget meal but they were in the process of switching over to breakfast so they had no fries, ended up getting hashbrowns instead. Idk thought this thread would appreciate that. It was awesome.

 

McDonalds hash browns > McDonald's fries
