Wow Charley's is a solid choice, definitely a mall food court staple across the country. I have seen freestanding ones too though. Haven't eaten there in a while but remember really enjoying it as a kid/teen.
Haven't had Charley's since the pandemic started, but was in the office today and decided to hit up the nearby outdoor mall for some. It's legit. Brings me back to the old Great Steak and Fry Co. that was in the mall when I was growing. I don't know why it works, but the teriyaki chicken with mayo combo always hits. Sorry mayo haters.
I have absolutely never heard of this place and didn't think we had any around here, but apparently we have a couple. Thinking about ordering takeout tonight, any recommendations? That teriyaki chicken sounds gooooooood.
lol same. Just looked it up thinking “there’s no way they have any here” but there are 3 in my part of town
I remember a 3 cheese bacon cheesesteak or something like that. It was good. Their fries are good too.
I've never tried anything besides the teriyaki chicken and as a work lunch. For me it's quite the opposite of what Derrick said, it's a different place, but it hits that nostalgia button hard with that sandwich being so close in flavors to a place I used to frequent as a kid. Fries are decent too (not even close to OG Great Steak though) and the loaded ones look pretty good. The one I've been to is always popping.
Said fuck it and got charleys for dinner. It’s good enough. Just as I remember it. I wonder how much money the doughboys generate for the chain they do each week?
