Shake Shack is good, but Nick's right. It's kinda pricey for what you get. Shackburger $5.69 (4oz patty - not a huge burger) Cheese Fries $3.99 Chick'n Shack $6.99 Black and White Shake $5.39 Piña Berry Punch $4.09
Just finished. Got the Shack Burger, Chick'n Shack, and Black & White Shake. Couldn't justify to myself getting fries and a shake. Burger and shake were fantastic. The burger was better than I expected from hearing a lot of people say its overrated, but then again people say that about In N Out too and are wrong. Chicken sandwich was okay, it definitely suffered from the 25 minute drive. All in all super good, and I'll definitely be craving that burger and shake combo. The price point is for sure the major knock against it. 21 bucks for a small burger, small chicken sandwich and a small shake is pretty wack, but I can see it as a splurge every once in a while.
There's a Shake Shack that opened here outside of the city in the last year, I haven't gotten around to checking it out yet because I don't have a car and it'd be a whole thing. Is it worth it? I'm on a little staycation this weekend.
Last time a friend posted they were going there (like two months after it opened) the line was still like 30 people long out the door.
This "In N Out fries suck" conspiracy has gone on long enough. They're actually good and nice and it's time people stop lying to themselves.
In N Out fries are only decent when ordered well-done, or when eating inside and having salt and ketchup with them. You can’t eat those things out of a bag and enjoy yourself
Steak fries are worse, those really thin shoestring fries are worse, there are a lot of subpar fries. Burger place closest to me does great crinkle cut fries, I like them a lot more than even like a McDonald's fry which gets really overrated on this pod and in general. My favorite fry is crispy, crinkle cut can get really good if they're crispy.
Yeah steak fries are the worst fries. Almost always too potato-y and not crispy enough at all. Crinkle cuts from White Castle or Shake Shack rule. In-N-Out fries are weak if not ordered well done. If you order them well done then they’re pretty good. Best fast food fries are Popeye’s Cajun fries imo. Checker’s fries are up there as well, as are the curly fries from Arby’s. And I love White Castle crinkle cuts.
In n Out fries are terrible. I will not be gaslit. Sure if you order them well done and cover them in a bunch of shit, they're fine, but when you just order a side of fries, they're nearly inedible.
I guess if you hate the taste of actual real potatoes. They're good as they come regularly and even better with ketchup or Animal Style.
I’ve had In n Out twice and thought the fries were not bad. had the Popeyes Cajun fries last night and think those could be my fav
the mcdonalds I went to in nashville did fry baskets. Is that normal? I've never seen that from a mcdonalds before
