Very different episode, but I liked it a lot. Bobby's an enjoyable guy in smaller doses, I don't think I could ever listen to his podcast though
When Mitch starts talking about Quincy and Bobby goes "I don't give a shit about Quincy" - Wiger's reactions of "Hell Yeah" is soooooo good.
I'm only like 45 minutes through does Mitch ever get to the story about gettting naked on stage, he got interrupted
Definitely wasn't a fun listen. Bobby kind of doesn't know when to stop beating a dead horse with a lot of things.
I thought it started out okay, and didn't mind the more personal conversation, but Bobby thinks every podcast should be just that.
I don't mind conversations that deviate from the food and was enjoying the episode overall but the end was a little cringe worthy
Going into it knowing that it was going to be more of a conversation, i really didnt mind it. I 100% DONT agree with Bobby saying the need to change the format, but I do agree a big part of the podcast is the chemistry between Nick and Mitch. "the hook brings you back, baby"
Bobby was a little much but overall enjoyable. I don't think they should drop the food angle but he has a point. I keep listening because of Nick and Mitch not because of the restaurants they go to.
Playing it again, Bobby probably went a little too far but his energy was interesting and fun for he podcast, he would just interject and get big laughs pretty often. His 'why?' to Mitch saying God would love Taco Bell was perfect
Of course people listen because of Nick and Mitch and not because of the restaurants. Same could be said for almost every podcast. Doesn't mean the entire concept should just be dropped. It's still the basis for conversation and obviously food is ingrained in their personalities.
I liked it, every time he was about to go too far for me he'd bring it back. It was a nice change of pace, not something I'd like to happen on a regular basis, but I also didn't need another Taco Bell episode. It was a nice sincere conversation, and I didn't take him very seriously when he said they should drop the food angle. I think most people who listen to podcasts stick around for the people and the premise is just something that facilitates conversation and provides some structure.
Ugh it took me three days to finish this episode, bobby was incredibly difficult to listen to. Overall made it less enjoyable for me.
