This was a near perfect episode, Gabrus was a great choice for a live show

 

Gabrus completely makes up for Bug Mane. An MVP guest.

 

Aaaaand it's gone. Gonna be replaced by the naked chicken chalupa, which is 100% not worth it.

Seriously? I went there last week to try the habanero thing and they were "out of habanero sauce" - Went again last night as they were putting up signs for the naked chicken chalupa but left when I realized that I couldn't get that until today. Figured I go back today and try both.

 

Nope, it's discontinued altogether. I went to several different locations and they all they said that it was just a temporary promotion and it's gone.

was planning on my cheat meal to be some double stack tacos tomorrow (been craving all week), guess ill have to try the chicken thing

 

Naked Chicken Chalupa wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either It's just a fried chicken patty folded in half with some shitty lettuce, tomatoes and cheese thrown it. There was some kind of sauce but it was basically non-existent.

 

The chicken thing just doesn't compare. We got it here in KC last year as a test market and it was just kind of dumb. The Double Stacks were legit. I could have the Sweet Heat and the Habanero all the time.

I just heard about this podcast from the taco Bell Reddit. Think I'm going to start listening to it tomorrow. So it's basically restaurant reviews/comedy podcast?

My unsolicited advice is to start with the Paul Rust and Jonah Ray episodes, because they're both great. Run through some eps from, like, episode 30 and later based on guests you like. Then start from the beginning.

The reason I recommend this is that the show does start a little slow, but it hits a magnificent stride. There's a reason it's the favorite podcast of many ppl in this thread

 

This episode is fantastic, Gabrus is the perfect guest and the live setting works well for the show
