Severely picky eater, don't want to get into it much (sorry) but I have been taking steps for about a year to try new things when I'm comfortable. It's an anxiety thing. Anyways, glad I tried it
I was in a similar place for much of my life. I know one can’t necessarily reason a way out of anxiety, but FWIW, I’ve (eventually) found great joy in broadening my tastes. Good luck to you man!
Thank you! I may not like everything I try, but I'm certainly making progress! More comfortable and confident in trying new things lately.
mitch fucking screwed up ordering with that extra patty and then counted that against the restaurant. preposterous, i say
it does seem like a place that wouldn’t travel well, which is maybe why i haven’t had it since the plague descended gonna have to make a trip for a parking lot feast this weekend
There's a Five Guys across the street from my apartment that I could walk to, and I can see it from the kitchen window...unfortunately
Five Guys was like the first "premium" fast food burger I ever had really. Until a Five Guys opened in my home town when I was like 14 or 15, it was always either McDonald's/Burger King/Wendy's or like a burger from a diner/sit down restaurant. Five Guys really blew me away as a kid. Obviously since then I've had better fast casual burgers, i.e. Shake Shack, but Five Guys will always hold a place in my heart.
I haven't had 5 guys in forever, but I agree with their takes. If you eat it immediately, it's pretty good, but the issue Mitch had with the bottom bun disintergrating and the fries becoming soggy and limp, is 100% my experience when getting it to go. I think 3.5 is about where I'd rank it.
It's a 4-fork chain for me. Shake Shack is, of course, 5 Forks bb And not to change the subject off of burger chains but Bonchon deserves that sixth fork Mitch gave it
shake shack and culver’s - 5 forks platinum plate club five guys is more 3 forks 1 tine honestly haven’t eaten at any of these in a long time bc charlotte has so many good burger joints
shake shack would get 4.5 or 5 forks from me if it were 30% cheaper. I know it's a superior product, but it's still too expensive for what it is, in my opinion
I know Shake Shack is pricey but I can't go any less than 5 forks for them. The quality of the product is too high. The burgers, the goddamn chicken sandwiches, and the shakes are too good.
When I was a GM at chipotle there was a five guys in the same plaza that I would get usually once a month. My one employee Jesus used to get it frequently as well so I’d always say “hey get me 5 guys” and he’d say “here’s 5 guys Tony, Jeff, Jon” etc. It was a good bit.
I wonder if they're going to do another full menu or if they're finally gonna stop being cowards and do the desserts bracket Honestly this might be the year they HAVE to do desserts considering Wiger being vegetarian, unless he just doesnt eat the items that have meat and just goes off of his memory
related, I'd love a fries/sides only tournament, but with everything being delivery this would be the worst year to have it
