Back in 2012 she did a standup set at my college I asked if I could get a picture and she pulled out her phone and took a picture of me lol. Then we took this one
I saw her in 2014 and while we were waiting in line outside of the club, a car drives by, a window rolls down and a woman asks the line of people "what are ya'll waiting in line for?" and people are all responding, "a comedian, Chelsea Peretti"... the car responds, "never heard of her" It was Chelsea in the car wearing a hat and glasses
I saw Chelsea here in Chicago at a rock club called Subterranean. The green room is above the stage and has a very tiny spiral staircase that descends onto the stage. She came down it and almost ate shit and the first thing she said was "was it fun watching me almost die?". It was fun seeing most of that material later on One Of The Greats.
I think we can all agree the only reasonable thing to get vehemently angry at Chelsea about is calling her special One of the Greats. The disrespect!
Did....did Chelsea just dig at Alie Ward on this episode about her podcast Ologies lmaooooo 20 minutes in “everyone is delusional, everyone makes them feel like this emperor but it’s like an emperor with no clothes and their fans are like you’re so smart tell me more about science but they don’t know fucking shit” LMAOOOOOOOOO
Look at the list and tell me you’re happy with the state of the film industry. Sequels and reboots, sequels and reboots. Mindless fucking garbage all over the place.
I mean, yes it is. AT&T owns Warner. Obviously it’s not just AT&T, but you’re being a bit dense if you can’t understand that when Mitch says AT&T he means them and all others like AT&T. These movies are being made to squeeze every last dollar out of a generation of consumers that have been dumbed down enough to exploit through means of nostalgia and brightly colored superhero nonsense.
I mean, if you’re looking at Most Anticipated Movies then of course you’re just gonna get sequels and reboots. People like things that are familiar to them. There’s also going to be a ton of good to great original that are likely down the list that movies like those giant blockbusters help fund. It’s nothing new.
I acknowledge that the evidence I was using could be seen as me seeking out bias confirmation, but I think the argument is more so the fact that the decision making going down at the head of these studios is less artistically driven than ever, and that Disney is at the forefront of a cannibalistic movement where the big studios are actively seeking out and swallowing up revenue that used to belong to indies or mid tier productions with their business practices.
