I mean, we can probably assume one of the other stores will be Whole Foods given that it's a national store and also they used the Whole Foods font in the logo for the month. I guess that Ralph’s store they always talk about will be one too. Wonder what the fourth will be.
My wife also said Costco and I disagreed. I don’t think that’s what you think of when you say “grocery store”, you know. Although their food does rule.
Love Trader Joe's. Eating one of their salads right now. Tikka Masala simmer sauce with their coconut cream, cooked with some chicken thighs over rice served with their frozen Naan is fire. Jerk Plantain chips are the best. Their frozen Orange Chicken is unmatched. Throw their dark chocolate peanut butter cups in the freezer. All their baked and frozen desserts are bomb. The Chantilly Cream Vanilla Cake is insane. I'm a decent cook, but they also make it so easy to have a fresh, healthy, home-cooked meal even if you have no clue what you're doing.
This is probably harsh and I’m only 20 minutes in but Hodgemans partner sounds like a dud. Getting worried
Nah, I agree, Hodgman is a delight but David's enthusiasm for Trader Joe's is definitely overbearing.
I always thought Hodgman kinda ruined episodes, he’s fine in this one but for the most part I can’t stand him haha
I say this as a total loser myself, but Rees is a fuckin' dork I'm fairly neutral on Hodgman, not stoked when he's not on but upset either. This other dude is just irritating.
I was thrilled that he spent the first 5+ of airtime introducing the people we've listened to for 300+ episodes
I like Hodgman a lot (reading his book now actually!) but the other guy was a snooze and I felt like it threw Nick and Mitch off a bit
I liked his giving background to his uninitiated friend. When he tacked on later on that Wiger is a pedophile I laughed.
I haven't even finished the episode yet, I'm not actually upset. It's a totally fine episode. I'm just being petty and taking easy slam dunks on the dude who was introduced as a professional pencil sharpener and eats cheese and peanuts for dinner, he's not a bad guy
Considering where Mitch lives I'd say Gelson's is likely too and I bet 365 rather than Whole Foods proper.
