Zohan I thought was terrible. I think in the Comedy thread someone posted an article a site ranked every Sandler movie and Click was number one and I hated that one
I remember thinking Click was good but I was in high school I think All I've ever heard is that Zohan is awful but one of the recent eps they all ranked it among his best so now I'm curious
I think we can just appreciate them for the times they came from. And also loathe some aspects at the same time.
I never saw Zohan, but it always annoyed me how many people I knew who thought Click was some insanely deep movie. That said, I teared up during it. I'm easy.
I think it was Wiger who said his favorite Sandler movie was Zohan? Which you know, it’s Wiger. But I still think I’ll check it out sometime. I remember when it came out I just thought it looked so stupid.
I also seemed to remember Click being good from when I saw it in junior high, but I tried to revisit it last year and within the first 15 minutes, Rob Schneider shows up as an Arabian prince named "Prince Habeeboo." No thanks! relatively zero interest in revisiting Zohan lol
1. Big Daddy 2. The Wedding Singer 3. Happy Gilmore 4. Mr. Deeds 5. 50 First Dates Edit: took out PDL since I guess that shouldn’t be included but that would be number 1
PDL isn’t a “Sandler movie” though. It’s a PTA movie that Sandler stars in. If we’re talking top Sandler PERFORMANCES, then yeah PDL is #1 for sure.
Top Sandler movies: 1. Billy Madison 2. Happy Gilmore 3. The Wedding Singer 4. The Waterboy 5. Idk, Big Daddy, I guess
Sandler pisses me off more than almost any other actor because he is SO TALENTED but he wastes it all on cheap cash-in vacations with friends that he films and calls “movies”. The guy is an incredible actor when working with the right filmmaker (PTA, the Safdie brothers).
The post before mine had Uncut Gems in it which is a Safdie movie starring Sandler so I didn’t think we were limited to happy Madison productions lol
