This is my first exposure to this guy and just... I don’t get it? Like I see what he’s doing I just... I don’t get it

Got it, I also don’t like Bug Mane so it’s just a big ole nope from me.

 

It’s probably one of the better pieces of satire to come out in the last ten years. Nick and Scott Gairdner are geniuses

 

I love everything Nick has made, but I don't need anymore of his characters steamrolling the podcast.

Honestly, just bring Nick on as himself and have a normal episode

 

It might be weird to bring Nick on not as Bug Mane. But at the same time what would even be different lol

 

Not interested in getting a normal Nick episode lol the Bug Mane episodes are some of my favorites, and we hardly get one a year

I’m kind of interested in a “normal Nick” episode but like I said I don’t even know what that means lol like is it just a less extreme version of Bug? Because yeah in that case I’d kind of rather just have Bug.

I realize Bug Mane/Craig/Nick can be polarizing, but are people really complaining about him ruining the podcast when it's like 1 out of every 100 episodes that he's on?

 

i get the feeling that the lack of Bug Mane recently may be intentional on Nick and Mitch's end but who knows. they like Bug obv but i get the unsubstantiated vibe that they may not love it on the show lol

 

I think Nick probably doesn’t love it on the show but Mitch always seems think it’s funny

 

Wiger and Mitch are obviously friends with Nick and enjoy/appreciate his style but also recognize that it's polarizing to listeners bc it doesn't really fit into the vibe of what their podcast typically is.

But it's also not something that ruins the show when it's only prevalent like 1% of the time.

 

This is because Wiger is kind of rigid in what he thinks the podcast should be and Mitch would probably let anything fly as long as he thought it was funny.

 

yeah I mean just look at how structured HDTGP is compared to Doughboys

 

the show works better when it's structured. mitch needs wiger more than wiger needs mitch.

 

Hmmmm...I feel like most of my favorite bits (or the parts of the show that make me laugh the most) are generally less structured. The banter, the ideas where they clearly have not done enough preparation which inevitably makes them better, guests like Bug Mane and Suss, etc.

 

When CBB did the Memphis Kansas Breeze writers interview and it turned out they’re two fairly awkward guys, it blew my mind that one of them was Bug Mane.

 

right. i agree with this. but i also feel like if the show was just that without the more structured uhhh.... structure, it would be for the worse
