Checkers/Rallys have good burgers and chicken sandwiches too. And their milkshakes are GREAT. Very underrated fast food chain imo.
Checkers used to be my favorite growing up. That said I remember every time I had it the slice of cheese on my burger would be ice cold so that taints the memory a bit
I've never that problem with the cheese from there, that sucks. Checker's spicy chicken sandwich is also decent. It's not as good as, like, Wendy's but it it's solid.
I worked at McDonald's in high school/college, and that's definitely the fault of whoever stocks/preps the food. We would leave the cheese out of the fridge before serving it to get it to a good temperature (or at least I did, most employees did not give a shit)
I've been an outspoken BK defender for at least 2 years now. Glad to hear others catching up. Checkers, at least the one around me, fucking sucks shit and never fails to make me sick
Other than the fries, which are the worst, I’ve never gotten the hate some people have for BK. I think it’s always been at least decent.
It's like Mitch said, BK is VERY location specific. I've had a few decent meals there but most of the time, the staff is terrible and takes less than zero pride in the food they put out.
BK is underrated, the chicken fries are good and those $1.50 nugs are maybe the second best in the game Top 3 Fast Food Potatoes: - McDonald's fries - KFC Potato Wedges - Arby's curly fries
BK breakfast has the French toast sticks and cini minis so those at least validate its existence bc they slay. The hash browns too
Update: that was probably the funniest episode of HDTGP yet. Also they’re doing Quest 64 next week which should be good, that game is horrible.
I’m sure i’m not the only one to have this thought, but if Yusong and Chef Kevin started their own podcast it’s only fair that Emma and Engineer Jordan should start one as well.
I'm interested to see how Beyond Nugs at KFC turn out. I'm of course down with veg options coming to all fast food chains and will definitely try them.
