Any Chicagoans in here? The only deep dish place I went to was Gino's East, is that just a bullshit tourist trap? They never talk about it when discussing deep dish.

 

I've never actually outright disliked a guest by virtue of hearing them on Doughboys. They have had at least one guest I can recall that I actively disliked prior to them going on Doughboys, though.

 

The handholding club on FB was bad so I left. The discord is good

 

Deep dish in general is kind of a tourist trap. Pequod’s is probably the best, Lou Malnatis and Giordanos are the two biggest chains. Gino’s east is not really on the upper echelon.

 

Pretty sure there's a Gino's East in Dallas. Is that a national chain

Last night I tweeted at them that they should do another ramen place, and suggested Ippudo because they have a Santa Monica location, and Mitch liked the tweet so fingers crossed on that one.

I've never had it but apparently there's one near the campus of Montclair University here in Jersey which is close to where I work. Maybe I'll give it a try based on these glowing recommendations from my friend Shrek
