The Bobby Lee episode is the only one I can think of I wouldn’t listen to again. Although maybe I would just to re-experience Mitch and Wiger’s extreme discomfort
Alana Johnson. I like her, but her energy can sometimes be overbearing. I honestly like just about every guest. Some are more enjoyable than others, but I've never regretted listening to an episode.
The only “bad” guests are one that don’t really know the boys or the show. Nick and Mitch don’t get as loose as usual
Exactly. Ranking Doughboys guests is dumb because most of the guests are people they're already friends with, so the rapport is good and they can be themselves/the guests understand the bits and have a similar sensibility to them.
Listened to HDTGP today and as someone that only plays games casually here and there, I thought it was great. I wouldn't listen to a gaming podcast if it wasn't people I'm already a fan of, or watch game reviews on YouTube, but having Nick and Heather do it is cool and I'm sure they'll have good guests I need knew the Sonic game was supposed to be bad but had no idea what that entailed I realize the second opinion bit is ripped straight from HDTGM but I appreciated it more than random Amazon reviews
Just now finished the P.F. Chang's 2 ep. and holy shit is it funny. Kulap rules. She's such a great guest.
Yeah, like Sarah Silverman, for example. I don't know if it was a combo of them being like intimidated by having someone so famous on the show plus this but that did not go great.
I was let down by Claudia O'Doherty. Why start a pizza tournament with someone who didn't like pizza?
That Claudia episode is the best of the tournament, she’s delightful and an absolute top tier guest The reveal that she doesn’t even like pizza was beautiful
The reveal she doesn’t like pizza actually makes it better/funnier/more in keeping with standard Doughboys operations lol
yeah the "i dont like pizza" reveal is arguably the most perfect encapsulation of the bullshit nonsense that is Doughboys it was joyous
i've been meaning to for a year and for some reason never got around to it. just start at the beginning?
yes and just keep with it i guarantee you will love it after the chaos starts to trickle in. either that or listen to a Gabrus episode to get a feel or something
