Honestly, it was so much more fun than even I thought it'd be. They had some great prepared bits that I won't spoil, the one at the end of the show that Mitch prepared in tribute to Wiger is one of the funniest things to ever happen on the show. I'm sad that everyone can't see the visual portion of it.

I'll let you guys in on a 'sclusie: all August Doughboys will be doing their version of the Olympics.

They handed out snacks to the crowd during Snack or Wack, and Tim Kalpakis kept giving me Red Velvet Oreos.

Also that was my first time at UCB Sunset, and it was really cool. Franklin still has its charm, but it's nice to have a real bathroom with easy access.

I don't want to spoil too much, unless you guys have questions.

 

That was the perfect tease. I'm so pumped and jealous.

 

I am furious that nobody chose turkey club for the diner draft.

That said, Spoonman wins with that Reuben and onion rings combo

They should really do a tour and hit up some chains in different areas.

I tweeted them for a double doughboys with cheese bonus Thursday because they seem so far ahead. Mitch liked it. You guys tweet them too I would love two doughboys in one day.

All I want from this episode is for Nick in his deadpan intro to say, "Rapper Notorious BIG immortalized the now iconic West Coast burger joint with a line from his 1997 hit song 'Going Back To Cali', in which he states, 'If I wanna squirt her, take her to Fatburger.'"

edit: Wasn't the Ice Cube lyric mentioned previously on the podcast? Also, Tupac references Fatburger too.

...and didn't Kanye buy some franchises a few years back.

Why is Fatburger so prevalent in the hip hop community?

 

As far as I know Fatburger franchises are traditionally Black-Owned and operated, and was started in South Central by a black woman.

 

Just started the episode, at least he mentions the Biggie reference.

 

Wiger freaking out when Mitch said he doesn't like fries was the greatest thing this week.

 

I'm up to Fuddruckers and I think listening to Mitch's mental breakdown by the end of Rockdougberfest might be one of the funniest podcast moments ever.

 

Wiger's gas tank story was the Wiger-est story.

 

Nick getting taken aback when Mitch mentioned Harambe when he's still tweeting about it is so weird and funny.

 

Should have trusted Wiger to cover all the bases.
