i for some reason totally missed the Panera ep from a couple of months ago and just listened last night. Mitch saying “bbq chicken sucks” is a reprehensible take. also feel like they were overly harsh on Panera, never had a bad bite there although i’ve only been a handful of times
BBQ chicken does kinda suck though. I mean, it's fine, really, but for wings in particular, just about every other sauce is superior. If I'm gonna have BBQ sauce, it's likely gonna be on brisket or sausage or something that was barbecued. I might have it on chicken fingers, but never on wings.
I love bbq wings and can’t stand buffalo sauce, never disagreed with Mitch more than in that statement
brother you’re putting barbecue sauce in to small of a box! it’s such a broad category of condiment. raspberry chipotle bbq is literally my fav sauce on earth atm
Buffalo Wings>BBQ wings That being said though, grill up a nice breast with a BBQ glaze and it's better than both
BBQ sauce is great but the generic BBQ sauce at most restaurant/fast food is not great. The thick dark kind is the worst.
exactly this - there is the cheap bbq sauce that is just built off of ketchup and then there’s the real deal i love both but one is clearly superior
I'll go a place's signature sauce over any other sauce. Usually it's a bbq/buffalo/garlic mix, which is the best IMO
Generally speaking, BBQ sauce is just too damn sweet. If there's a spicy version, or a mustard based sauce, or something other than sugary ketchupy ass barbeque, then we can talk.
