I don’t get the doubles.... been meaning to

 

The idea that Dairy Queen is not an ice cream parlor is hands down Wiger's worst take in the history of the show and up there with some of Mitch's classics for worst ever.

 

I stand with Wiger. Dairy Queen is a restaurant with an expanded soft serve menu. It would need it's own category with Sonic or Steak and Shake if they were to include it.

 

Yeah I wouldn't consider DQ ice cream

 

I'd love to see a breakdown of food vs ice cream only DQs. The food ones were always vastly outnumbered around me growing up, so thinking of them as anything other than an ice cream place is weird to me. They also literally invented soft serve.

 

Damn. I'm flipping out because I had no idea the Dairy Queen I go to is the only brazier in town. I just assumed all of them had food because I didn't think there were any "treat only" DQs anywhere around here. I thought they were super rare for some reason... There's 3 in town though! This is a weird thing to be so shocked over lol

Maybe my stance isn't as firm as before.

 

There is only one way to settle this. I've DM'd Dairy Queen.

 

When we went to Dairy Queen when I was a kid we only ever got ice cream. I'm not sure if they had other food all along but I know they eventually did

Then DQ kind of went away for a while but they seem to have made a resurgence

 

I thought the point of excluding it was because it's soft serve and not scoops, not because it sells other food. Definitely wouldn't call it an ice cream palor, that evokes something very specific to me that DQ is not.

 

Pints aren't even fast food, the other bracket should just be DQ vs. McD's, with the frostee getting a pass to the finals. I'm so much better at this Susser.

 

Not here for the DQ snub. I’ve always thought of it as an ice cream place despite most of the ones I’ve been to also serving food. Blizzards are top tier chain restaurant ice cream.

 

I don’t know why but I always thought Susser wrote Sex Drive and I just found out he didn’t. Whack

 

I just went to his IMDB page and he's slated to write the Wedding Crashers sequel...

Like... they couldn’t just wait 15 minutes before starting the podcast? Lol

 

As someone who has done it twice, them trying to buy BOLA tickets gave me PTSD.

 

Are they doing the final round of the ice cream tournament as regular episode tomorrow or is that gonna be a double?

Halo Top is the GOAT “healthy” ice cream but putting it up in competition against any sort of real ice cream is just cruel

 

That intro was an all time great, NickU sounds like a great place to learn Minionese and overall I think the right ice cream won. It is my go to ice cream although now the price has started to come down on halo top their cinnamon buns or birthday cake have been my go tos purely based on the calorie count. 360 vs 1000ish for Ben and Jerry is a no brainier, especially whilst eating so much in the recent heat.
