Just hit the Church's chicken episode. So weird to hear Nick start the episode saying "Hillary Clinton, first female president."

We were so fucking confident, shit.

 

he backs up the decision to leave it in to this day and i respect the hell out of it haha

 

I've never burned through a show this fast before. I expect to be caught up within a few weeks.

So I skipped the Doughlympics because I just got kind of bored of it like a half hour in...and now it seems like they talk so much shit about it every episode. What was so bad about it?

 

it was horribly formatted and it was the first time they really felt health burnout, i definitely think they're worth a listen just for the descent into madness, they were much more enjoyable than they believe lol

 

I always go back and forth over which descent into madness is better, the Doughlympics or Mitch's agony during Rockdoughberfest. Both were pretty funny.

Also it's worth listening to at least the first episode for the fry counting alone.

Is CPK notoriously bad? I've only had a few of their frozen pizzas but this was like 10 years ago.

 

CPK is pretty good. I also like the Costco slices but they couldn’t be more different experiences and should not be in the same bracket lol

 

This episode was hilarious from start to finish. Claudia is so fucking funny.

Claudia's reveal 50+ minutes into the pizza tournament that she hates pizza and her ridiculous scores.

Pizza Hut > Dominos though. Pizza Hut even has a better thin crust.

 

Pulling for Blaze but I have a soft spot for Papa John's.

 

Papa Johns is terrible other than their garlic sauce which they use as a lifeline. Are dipping sauces allowed to be considered in the tournament?

 

Sauces seems like sides and they should stay on the sidelines.

 

Dipping Sauces are not under consideration. This was discussed during the Chicken McNugget portion on the McDonalds Vs. Panda Express episode of last years tournament which I just listened to yesterday.


But also it's the Doughboys so fuck precedent

 

I'm glad they added Blaze, hoping it can still get a full episode in the future. No BJ's or Roundtable, I honestly don't know what will win, I don't think they have any strong biases like with Wendy's/In n Out to really force a chompion this year.

 

I love this. It makes no sense.

That being said I really like both and don't know which I'd choose.

 

you can always get a 5 dollar large cheese pizza from Papa Johns with their coupon code. Their pizza isn't great but that's a solid deal

 

I’d take Little Caesar’s over Papa Johns at that price tbh
