i've tried. i have always thought it was okay but never been hooked in the way many here have. i think the fault lies with me for being determined to start at ep 1, seems like it's taken them a bit to perfect the characters and i just need to find somewhere more recent.
I think I started when Mitch was on after their first Doughboys spot and just kept up with it, haven't bothered going back outside of youtube clips. When it finally clicks it becomes such a good pod. Shaun Diston, Our Globes Prediction Friend, episode #222 of Hollywood Handbook on Earwolf This is seriously such a masterclass of comedy podcasting, so funny the whole way through
Toast month >>>> Doughlympics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Star Wars Month The Irma saga at the end of this episode is nuts
Also a little toast tip I picked up from Todd Glass Substitute vanilla ice cream instead of butter for cinnamon toast. You need to toast the bread a little more than usual and spread the vanilla ice cream immediately but its fucking great. I've only done it once because I think it'll kill me but it's v good
fun ep. i need a drop to go from Neil's big long praise of the show into Nick silencing the room with his "big dong watersports" line.
also @incognitojones i had to listen to the Globes ep of HH twice because there was so much going on in it that my "background while i do chores" method failed, but holy shit, every bit as funny as you said. so was the Wiger ep. doubt i pick it up on a weekly basis due to sheer volume of stuff i follow, but it'll def stay on top of my list of shows to check out when i'm into the guest.
I'm not sure what's paywalled anymore, but if you can, listen to Tom Scharpling's episodes in order at some point. There was a run of them a couple years ago that were amazing
i already stitcher for teacher's lounge. prob gonna go through and download old eps with the big hitters, i'll add the Scharpling eps
The recent ep with Lapkus where they were shitting on Raised by TV and celebrity apologies is great, as is the one with Jess and Zach from Off Book. There's another good Wiger ep and a Mitch one from a year back, and any with PFT is gold.
i knew what "pie in this guy" was immediately, Mitch should feel deep shame. i audibly what the fuck'd at "honey pie"
I guffawed when Mitch made the Phantom Thread joke and Nick admitted he hadn't seen it and didn't get the joke mid laugh
gonna second that you need to listen to every episode with scharpling, also add in julie klausner's eps.
Rally’s/Checkers was the only 24 hour restaurant in my area of downtown Detroit for a long while so while it is not very good food I have spent a lot of time there, often under the influence of various things I’d ingested beforehand.
