it's not like "bad" but it's played pretty straight and it's hard to do a commentary track for a movie with so little to find below the surface i think

 

It's basically those "Everything Wrong With X Movie" YouTube videos except it's a feature length commentary track and Mitch is funnier than that crew and Wiger defends some of it sometimes. Inessential Doughboys but pleasant enough on my commute/running errands.

 

honestly they should have done it with a guest, even Bug Mane

 

i think if they just watched it, took notes, and then recorded a debate of sorts afterwards it could have been amazing

 

Eh, they've already debated it so much on the show, I like the element of the movie playing in real-time. Agree that it could've been much funnier/more interesting with Bug Mane or Armen though. As people have said, it's inessential listening but pleasant enough to have on in the background

 

I just played Hollywood Handbook twice. Eventually some nerd will have it sync up with the movie I'll wait for that.

 

I'm just so fucking sick of hearing about Star Wars. These will probably be the only Doughboys episodes I skip.

Tomorrow's should be good tho

It's a live show, so the audio quality isn't great but it does get significantly better after the intro.

 

Gotcha. I was basically falling asleep on my way in this morning anyway so I didn't feel like exerting the energy to listen harder.

 

This was the live show I went to, so when I started it and couldn't even hear the intro, I almost said "fuck it, I've already heard this" but the sound got better so I stuck with it.

Also, I don't listen to the doubles but have they spoken about leaving feral yet? I know they recorded episodes before the holidays.

 

Not yet. I believe everything that was released, including the Doubles, was recorded before Dustin dissolved Feral.

For those of you with a Doughboys shirt, are they good quality? They're only $14 right now

 

I enjoy mine although it's become a bit snug for a large. Or I'm getting too doughy

 

They definitely run a little small. I'd order a size larger than what you think you should. It's soft and comfy though. Worth the $14 for sure.

 

My brother got me one, quality is solid for sure
