Episode 1 is the most recent Star Wars I've seen and I really enjoyed today's episode. Last week's was good too, but less enjoyable as someone who hasn't seen The Last Jedi (and doesn't know much about Star Wars in general)
the intro to this ep felt like more of a review of TLJ than the last one imo because Mitch was around someone he's more friendly with and let the shackles off. he had some awful awful takes lol.
basically what i've learned is anytime wiger refers to an episode as "unlistenable," it's going to be one of my favorites. also i'm almost entirely caught up on the doubles after a week and i like some of them better than the og podcast tbh also re: that live episode, i've come to the conclusion that gabrus is the most naturally funny person i've ever heard
I love how Mitch tries to be smart by starting his bids at zero instead of one but Nick catches it so he ends up paying twice as much every single time.
ooooof the draft was such a mess, i've never felt like genuinely mad at mitch before but he was infuriating me this entire episode lmao. his team ended up being pretty great, though, endor was the best planet choice imo.
I really liked the new Star Wars but I hate "Star Wars" as a brand/arm of the Disney capitalist empire so I'll gleefully listen to Mitch attack it, even if I disagree with most of his takes. He's also still right in one regard, the Force Awakens sucks.
Him being so against it to that extreme level is the most entertaining possibility. If they both just kind of liked it or thought it was ok nothing would happen.
Yes this episode he was being worse than the last Star Wars episode, especially when he would just say stuff like "It was bad" or "it was boring" or "that was stupid" because he's the funniest guy he has to have better ways to roast the movie c'mon mitch
I would never want to play a board game with Mitch because he would be the one trying to cheat, I feel. That said, #spoonnation
Mitch not buying "The Force" in the wildcard when he literally could buy anything he wants means he deserves to lose. He's last fucking place. He's not even in the discussion. People should write books about the greatest failure of THINGS IN GENERAL Mitch's cocky attitude while saying he knows what he's doing and he fucking BOTCHES IT I don't even like Star Wars and I know that's the move and I don't know why I am so mad
He kept insisting that he knew what he was doing by using his extra credits on a bunch of wildcards, but it was established that what he was doing was useless. I think I liked Nick’s draft haul the best except what the hell was he thinking picking Rose instead of Rey
