You know, this sentence is a big reason why I voted donuts too. People sometimes bring in donuts and it's like an immediate day booster! Cookies are commonplace at so many places but when you get a donut it really uplifts you.

I feel like if you really want that distinction to matter then we should also be saying Key Lime tart, Pumpkin tart, Banana creme tart and being more specific that custard based crusts are tarts and not pies The problem is it’s too ambiguous and arbitrary which gets called which, so it’s not a specific qualifier at all. Imo the only logical conclusion is that a tart is just a kind of pie haha
