Don't Worry He Won't Get Far On Foot (Gus Van Sant, July 13,2018) Movie

Before I clicked play I was wondering who that was on the right and wow did not think it was Jonah Hill

 

Very curious about this.

 

Van Sant’s made some serious garbage in recent years. Not super anticipating this one.

 

He has been one of the most uneven filmmakers over the last decade or so.

 

I mean, he hasn’t made a good film in Ten years.

 

Milk was good, but sort of anonymous and by-the-numbers. The rest I would agree with you. I didn't even bother to see the Sea of Trees.

 

Yeah, but the 4 films he made before the last decade are 4 of the finest American films of the 00s.

 

Milk came out ten years ago, that’s what I was talking about.

 

Ok, but watching this trailer doesn’t exactly make me think that’s what we’re getting here.

 

I haven’t watched the trailer, I was simply making a statement as to why he had always got my attention.

It barely has anything to do with this movie, but this is pretty entertaining

 

Joaquin Phoenix and Jonah Hill were excellent in this
it was really cool seeing Kim Gordon, Beth Ditto, and Carrie Brownstein in this, and I liked how they incorporated John's drawings
this is definitely a biopic

 

I loved this

 

Finally saw this and enjoyed it. There’s a handful of great emotional scenes.

 

I watched it a few weeks ago and honestly loved it, actually surprised by how into it I was. The only GSV movie I’ve enjoyed.

 

Yea I watched this on Wednesday, top notch.
