Yeah, won’t be on anyone’s top 10 list (hopefully) but’s fine. Love to see Florence carry an entire movie.
Florence Pugh, Kate Berlant, and Chris Pine supremacy it's fascinating that Dakota Johnson was supposed to play Margaret it definitely felt like it should have been a tv show and not a movie , but I felt like it was still pretty smooth the twist was genuinely shocking and explained some stuff but they definitely could have done more with it
the Big Pic pod did a pretty good rundown on this, agreed with a lot of amanda dobbins' points on how this was flawed
I found this completely watchable with some glaring third act issues but this one is getting worse and worse the more I think about it
It's now been 24 hours since I saw it and yea this keeps getting worse in retrospect. Like, the script is pretty much a disaster. Is the twist that comes 90 min into the movie supposed to be surprising? Lol a better movie would have revealed that 30 min in.
Idk, it surprised me and I think a lot of the fun was trying to guess what was actually going on. I should probably read some of the criticism because I'm not really sure what's disastrous about this at all.
