Yeah looks pretty damn good. Loved seeing the random comedy actors thrown in too (Kroll, Kate Berlant, Tim Simons)
LeBouf doesn’t necessarily deserve the benefit of the doubt but this movie’s rollout seems to be about everything except the movie
Shia is a gaslighting abuser and shouldn't be given a platform The rumors that Florence and Olivia hate each other are so weird, people just love hating women
I wouldn’t normally share Shia’s statement but some of his claims appear to be vetted and Olivia Wilde may be presenting a different account of what happened, which if true, is unnecessary and leads to this all being the narrative of her movie’s release instead of all the things directors like to talk about when they have a movie coming out. Obviously LeBouf is a piece of shit and I don’t care that he was fired or quit, whatever the reason.
it was definitely sus that Olivia said she believes in restorative justice about him it's common knowledge that he made Mia Wasikowska uncomfortable
“If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think?” I’m not all that into celebrity drama, but I am a bit curious what this means. Was Florence refusing to work with Shia? If so, good for her, tbh.
Wilde described his acting style as “confrontational”. A lot of actors, particularly male actors, are similar. It sounds like his and Pugh’s styles weren’t working together, and Wilde tried to see if she could get them on the same page. Whether he was fired or they agreed he should bow out or he quit is in question, but none of it had to do with the horrific allegations that came to light after he had left the project.
for sure. i don't think anyone here is pro-shia. him not being in the movie is best for literally everyone, fuck him. it just is concerning how much is happening behind the scenes with this movie, dating back to months before ever hearing from him
