A few months ago I saw How It Ends, also about the end of the world. It was nothing like this but it was good

 

I always thought McKay made Bombshell too. So now we have two formerly great comedy directors making re-heated DNC nonsense.

 

Calling this a contender for the worst movie of all-time is insane lol it may fail as a proper satire but we must be watching very different movies, because it's not the worst movie of the year (Old, The Conjuring, Justice League) let alone one of the worst of all-time.

 

all three of the movies you mentioned are better than this. there are worse movies this year, those are not them.

the woman in the window, free guy and without remorse are the first ones that come to mind

 

Old is so much better than this filth. Shyamalan will haunt you for this.

 

Being the Ricardos is the worst liberal movie ,I haven't seen this yet but I'm pretty confident

 

Being the Ricardos was pretty bad. I usually do a 5 worst of the year but I have enough for 10 this time.

 

This was pretty not great. For such a workable plot, there was so little to care about, especially with any of the characters

Someone else mentioned Free Guy, that was also really not great

Film of the year for me was Pig

 

I was going to post a long reply but this movie isn’t worth the time.

I had to unfollow Sirota because he is basically saying that if you don't like the movie then you don't care about the environment. A true meltdown is developing.

 

Old was hilariously bad, like it had to be intentionally bad

Anyway some of the satire and pop culture critique here did feel outdated, like the Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi skit

 

This wouldn’t make my top 5 list, since I saw Halloween Kills, Malcolm & Marie, Space Jam 2 and Snake Eyes. But I get why some people would feel that way.

ricardos was better than this but it’s like saying getting a D- is better than getting an F

 

Pathetic stuff, guess no one is allowed to not like this movie.

 

This was not good. Felt like it was trying to be a Charlie Brooker-esq parody and just didn’t nail any of the things that make his shows funny and interesting. There were a few moments that felt Armando Iannuci like too, but fell flat.

Didn’t help that I watched Death to 2021 immediately prior to this. Seeing how satire is done right and then watching this was probably a mistake

 

Conjuring 3 was straight up the worst movie I sat through. I fell asleep during Black Widow

 

Old is a much better movie than this but movies like Free Guy, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Malcolm & Marie and Space Jam: A New Legacy were much much worse

 

This was perfectly fine. Not all that bad, and got a few good laughs, but definitely is not as emotional and poignant as it’s reaching for.
