Adam McKay just doesn't understand satire. This is just two hours of 2003-era liberals shooting fish in a barrel. It is like a Jon Oliver sketch stretched out to feature length.

If my girlfriend didn’t want to finish this I’d have turned it off after 20 minutes. I knew it was going to suck when it started with Jennifer Lawrence rapping wu tang.

This will be the movie I think about when people get excited about something solely based on what movie stars signed on to be in it. The best cast in the world cannot overcome scripts and direction.

My SIL has it on right now and it’s okay.
Just got to the Jonah Hill “we’ve been dying to hear what have to say” and yeah that was hilarious.

im very meh on it, that’s why it came to mind when I read that post haha. The “trying to find the one that got away” storyline appeals to me, and the end tugs are the right heartstrings for me, but otherwise…shrug haha

I don’t know if I’d say it’s the worst movie of all time haha, I was entertained enough throughout the whole thing even if I thought that the actors (especially Leo, Meryl, and Timothee) were better than movies like this. The cast all played their roles well and definitely carried the film.

If everyone acted with the same level of absurdity as Jonah Hill it would have at least been fun.

this also isn't the worst of the year. i'd rather have stupid cynicism than the craven capitalism of free guy.

It was co-written by David Sirota, who was a Bernie Sanders campaign guy and at least means well.
