I see McKay has taken the subtly criticisms to heart.

This will be very unhinged Twitter brain work that I will watch. I’d prefer this over that Elizabeth Smart movie McKay was threatening to make before The Dropout beat him to it

 

So, when critics don't like it, is he gonna like, call the cops on them and say they must be murderers if they don't like it?

 

Dude needs to get back in his lane or a new one altogether

 

The Adam McKay of the 2000s is dead and gone. This is who he is now. We just need new comedic voices to fill the void

 

Lol still think this movie was fine and that premise sounds very funny to me

 

It's funny, while The Menu is a better film, I felt like I could smell McKay on that one because it thought it was a little smarter than it actually was, where as this one works for me because it's not trying to be subtle. It just isn't, and that's okay, imo.

 

he only produced The Menu,sorry this is a pet peeve and still haven't recovered from everyone thinking Judd Apatow wrote all his and Nick Stoller's movies

 

this was my exact criticism of The Menu, would have been better if they leaned into the dumb slasher side of it

 

Anyway, this movie sucked ass but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly intrigued about this Robert Pattinson/Robert Downey, Jr. one

 

I know, which makes it even stranger that his vibe felt so prominent in that movie lol

 

Rich people should stop satirizing rich people imo

 

Quietly became one of my favorites honestly. The overall vibe and the way it was edited felt unique. Hes gotten my interest for a new movie for sure

Funny because I'm pretty sure he would have an aneurysm if he saw a tweet about his movie saying, "this appeals to both sides!"

 

what if by both sides he means pro or anti serial killing not left or right

 

I've watched it a few times and yes. Thought the whole thing was pretty unique.

I'm sure it cracks the top 100/200 of mine

 

For me, it cracks the top 138 minutes I’d like to get back.
