This album rules. They finally consistently reached the potential shown in You Wanna Know imo. That song was flawless, but little else on Automatic was quite on that level for me.
IIRC the accuser actually issued a retraction saying it wasn’t true? I’ll have to look back but I remember reading that. EDIT: Yep. I remember reading the actual retraction on Twitter as well. Don Broco say sexual misconduct allegations have been “publicly retracted” - News - Alternative Press
Just so you’re aware, the allegations were retracted and the accuser started publicly they were false. See my post above.
Glad to hear there was no victim in this case. Thanks for the update. Do hope she wasn't just bullied into the retraction though...but at some point we do need to just believe them either way.
Yeah, I mean at that point it’s just speculation. In my mind, if we’re gonna believe the public accusations when they’re made, it only makes sense to believe this too.
I've been jamming Come Out To LA hard the past few days. I have to agree with one of your previous posts the album is class although a bit too long dare I say?
My band played with them when they came over to Australia late last year and they are amazing live. If you get the chance go watch them, they're just so much fun and the songs from the new album sounded massive.
Yeah, I honestly think Got to Be You would have been a fantastic closer, but I enjoy the other tracks too so w/e
Never heard of this band until a few days ago when I saw then with a friend at Warped and I was super blown away. Turns out that my gf’s been a fan of theirs for months too. Now I can’t stop listening. You Wanna Know, Come Out to LA, and Got to be You are top 3 so far for me
Seriously. That was an awesome live show. Probably the best of the 5 bands on the bill. Went for Hail the Sun, Broco and DGD but Broco blew me away. So much fun.
Anyone who like Don Broco should seriously listen to Friendly Fires...this song reminds me most of DB
Yeah, the vocalists tone reminds me of Rob, and Friendly Fires started off making post-hardcore music too. FF is much more dancey, but it has a similar ethos. Would love to see DB mix up the vibes from FF with Technology's heavier moments
