That sucks

 

This sucks. I’m supposed to see them next week with Free Throw but now I feel super weird about supporting them. Hope those affected by Alex’s actions receive actual accountability from Alex over this and not some victim blaming response.

 

Extremely disappointing. Hope the band says something soon.

 

What a fucking dork. God. I believed SO HARD in this band.

 

I'm not sure why the band would have to release a statement on this, dude seems like an asshole, but this looks to be like failed relationship type stuff most of us have dealt with. I may be missing something here though. I've been in this person's spot before, not talking about band member by the way.

 

I mean idk telling someone you are romantically and especially sexually exclusive with them and then proceeding to cheat is incredibly fucked up.

 

Of course it is, not debating that at all. I've been cheated on in 2 long term relationships, it sucks, it fucks you up, but I didn't put those people on blast publically.

I don't know maybe I am not thinking of this the right way, I feel for the person, I just don't think it really needed to be posted all over Twitter.

this is someone who has access to a lot of people they can potentially fuck with traveling all over the country playing shows

 

Being that's their reason, I respect that decision.

But I really don't agree with them saying therapy won't help him because he's a narcisist and he will just learn new tricks.

 

Yeah I would say the position he’s in is the major issue.

Really awful stuff here. With Parker supporting the women publicly and now days later there is zero response I expect the band to just explode at this point. If this is how Alex uses his position in the scene it's clear he should not have one.

Yeah fuck em, seems like there's a neverending list of women who he mistreated. Good on the drummer for liking tweets or retweeting stuff, maybe we'll get an official statement. Assume the band is done, which is good in terms of taking him out of a position of power.
