well that was rad as hell! playing the first 9 tracks form "melee" was a welcome surprise. I can't wait to one day see them in person
If anyone is curious about set list: Kawasaki Backflip 3:12 Bueno 3:40 Prom Hell 4:45 Fox 3:39 Headfirst 5:06 Hotlines 3:55 Wartortle 3:20 Wrist 4:00 Cannonball 3:45 Modern Language 5:55 Star 67 11 AM Drunk Ender
Just caught up. That was fantastic. I'm so sad touring Melee was stolen from them, what a record that will be to hear live. I can't wait for them to be able to tour again.
Just listened to this for the first time because I didn't know it was a thing, and was absolutely blown away. God damn, this is really good.
you could make an argument this album/band was one of the most fucked over from COVID. Pre-release it seemed destined for immediate scene classic, but the lack of touring around it has killed any sort of long term buzz. I hope im wrong, but seems like an album that will have retro pieces written about it in coming years about how under rated it is.
sadly might be true but the record fucking rips enough that I think there will still be interest whenever touring becomes a thing again
I mean, it's a good record but it's nowhere near scene classic IMO. It shows a lot of potential and it's bundles of fun but I just don't think it touches something sort of similar like YGMIA, for instance.
It feels like it could be a big stepping stone to releasing a scene classic on the next album or two.
