Does anyone know how I can watch movies from my HD on my TV?

I'm sure I need an external adapter or something. It's just weird that the TV comes with an USB input, but I can't get it to play movies from my external HD. Is there some sort of cheap lifehack or something that I can use to watch from my external HD?

Not sure about your particular model of TV, but on my TV, the USB is like service port rather than anything that can read/play media. I have my laptop hooked up via HDMI to my TV and watch stuff that way... or get a Roku or DVD/Blu Ray player with a USB input.

HDMI works. Chromecast only kinda works. Not sure on the USB.

I figured it out. I just got an Amazon Fire. The thing is, it doesn't fully recognize one of my external HD. I plugged another external HD with 2 USB ports to a powered USB, then ran a cord into the unit and it worked. I just gotta find a micro sd with 2 male ports
