Not trying to speak negatively of chorus.fm at all—I prefer the design, and the name makes a helluva lot more sense. (My only "complaint" is that I wish we could access the archives of absolutepunk.net...would be funny to look at some of the old Technology Round-ups that facebook reminds me about among other things.) I just mean that, out of muscle memory built over many, many years, I still type "abs" and click "absolutepunk.net" when my history pops up. Anyone else still do this, or am I just a weirdo?
I also sometimes wish we could access the archives of AP. The transition didn't take me long to get used to though, super easy to learn to type in "fo..." every time.
I still find myself typing "abs" occasionally. Always joked about someone getting on my computer and seeing how many times I googled abs.
On my phone I type "f" and hit the first result (it's crazy how often I get on here on my phone) and on my laptop I hit the bookmark for absolutepunk
It's interesting how many of you go to the forum first. I always start at the news section then tap on article-specific forum links. But perhaps I'm not as active in the forums as others. Thanks for detailing your habits everyone. Glad I'm not the only one typing "abs" to get here at least
My bookmark for this site is actually still absolutepunk.net (it just redirects to chorus everytime) because I'm lazy and nostalgic.
i already have the forums bookmarked so no. but i often type absolutepunk when i talk about this community to my friends
I don't really check the news section often because if it's something I'm interested in the forums have posted about it first like. 95% of the time
We're the people that drive @Jason Tate crazy when he looks at his server logs and sees all the redirects. Even worse, mine actually come from www.absolutepunk.net/iphone.php.
Ah fair enough. I was never controversial enough on there that I would be offended by reading my own posts later.
