Misogynistic bullshit and/or her being a supposed 'industry plant', is my reading of it based on the song. Which is good. Doechii can talk her shit on her record and I don't see the problem?
The thing about industry plants is you can easily just do like, very minimal research online about an artist and pretty easily determine if they worked for their fame or not. Doechii clearly was at it for years before she broke out, and has been on TDE a while, nothing was "planted"
Exactly, it's an accusation that doesn't stick for any longer than like, two minutes with basic research.
There's a lot of discourse if you're like actively following Doechii's career. From the conversation about being an industry plant, the misogynoir that surrounds her career after blowing up the way that she did, the lack of coverage around her success because she didn't fit that cookie cutter mold of the white pop it girl, the attempt at a downturn in popularity because of an outburst at fashion week. All of this is addressed on this one-off and I think it was sort of meant to be a chapter closed re: most of that stuff.
I'd be pretty fucking happy with a Doechii takeover next year, I hope the album lives up to her promise and ridiculous talent.
