Oh my god this sounds absolutely amazing ‘Documentary Now!’ Is Back and Covering Every Documentary You’ve Ever Loved
I really loved how the the episodes were split up, as it almost created two different stories. They also continue to excel at knowing how far they can push the ridiculous moments without going too far. The news segments were so perfect, too.
Agreed about the two parts, it was pretty perfectly split up into two separate stories that were the same story.
According to his Seth Meyers interview he actually was heavily involved in most of the songs from this episode Also Paula Pell is so fucking hilarious and I feel like not enough people realize that. Richard Kind was great too
I loved it. And yet, I'm not even completely sure it's my favorite episode of this season! Some of the stuff I read before the season really hyped up how good Cate Blanchett was, but even with the heightened expectations that created for me, I came away impressed with her.
Damn, I love Barry a lot but that's disappointing if true. I always love seeing him tackle different characters
while I do agree that it would be great to have Hader, Documentary Now as a show has proven 3 episodes in a row that they don't need him on screen to make for compelling TV
