This whole "loss of a role model for boys" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Growing up my main role model was my mother, a woman. I don't see how that is a bad thing whatsoever. Major loss of respect for Davison.
I loved David Bradley in An Adventure in Space and Time, can't wait to see what he does as the actual doctor. EDIT: Just watched on my break, SO excited that it confirms Pearl Mackie returning. Hope she's signed on for the next season as well.
First look at Peter Capaldi's final outing as the Doctor. Really sad about this. 1. I am surprised she IS in the Christmas episode. It seemed like she wouldn't be from the end of the last series. But I had thought it was left open for her to return in the next series at some point. 2. I presume they'll be going with a male assistant?
Going to miss that crew so much. The Moffat years are by far my favorite of the 54 year run. Couldn't be more excited for Chibnall to take over though. And yeah, the Christmas special looks bonkers. As only Moffat's final outing should.
Haha, that makes a lot more sense then! Ha, I was thinking "I'm sure I don't recognise these two from any Doctor Who episodes." Was it fun to meet them?
It was exciting, the whole process feels like a blur though because you only get like 30 seconds, they take your picture and then you're out. But it was still worth it. I was star struck
I think it was like $170 but I split it with my friend. YOLO LIFE EXPERIENCE WORTH IT. It was pricey because it was with both of them. Individual photo ops with either matt or Karen were cheaper
There's been an announcement from the BBC about assistants for the new Doctor. If you want to know who click here. If you don't, then don't! Only the characters names have been revealed, there's no juicy spoilers. They also confirmed that the series will have a 10-week run of 50-minute episodes in autumn 2018, starting with a special hour-long show for the launch.
I like that. Kind of cool they added more color to this outfit. Makes me think she'll be a more light-hearted Doctor than Capaldi, which I'd be happy with! Gahhhh still so long until we get the new season (except the Christmas special of course).
Love it, unique and memorable as it should be for the first female Doctor. Just a month and a half until we see her in (in all likelihood very very brief) action.
I would love if they shook things up and had Capaldi go down right away in the episode, or midway. Or anywhere other than the last 3 minutes. I get why they do it, but I am kind of bored with how predictable the "regeneration during the last moments of the Christmas episode" has gotten.
It's predictable but I do like having these specials as a final, lengthy goodbye for the Doctor (and I love Capaldi so I want one last hour with him). Now, if they swerve and somehow have this be a multi-Doctor story with both Twelve and Thirteen (and the First), that's something I'd be totally into.
