Steven Moffat writes episode for new season of Doctor Who with Julie-Anne Robinson directing been heavily rumoured for a while but it's nice to have official confirmation, let's fucking go
I'm watching series 6 right now, which I'm such a sucker for. I just watched A Good Man Goes to War last night, and it always will be one of my favorite episodes. River's speech at the end gets me every time. (So ya I'm excited for a new Moffat episode.)
My hopes are really really high for this, it just seems like it has it's charm back, but let's see how it goes.
i think the trailer looks cool, and I’m mostly stoked. Do have some concerns that RTD+a sky-high budget could result in some really bad impulses not getting checked, but it’s Doctor Who so that’s baked in I suppose.
trailer looks pretty good imo, but if there's one thing RTD knows how to do it's sell a product in advance lol. will keep my hopes in check but I'm quite excited about the supernatural angle they're teasing also I've read about 1/3rd of the VNAs this year and man. the quality varies so wildly from some of the best DW stories in any medium to absolute dogshit lol. it's pretty wild how much the new series took from them even while treating them as not really canon though. the original companion is basically River Song two decades beforehand
writer and director credits are up on twitter too if you click through ...6/8 episodes by RTD has me a bit nervous haha. but Kate Herron is a fantastic addition, really excited for her episode
yeah just watched the second trailer and it has me even more excited than the first one. "I will shatter this silly little battlefield into dust" line goes HARD
certainly back to RTD form with these. by that I mean the first episode was dogshit but the second was fantastic lol. even got the mother of all fart jokes off in that first one for old times sake but seriously more like episode 2 and this could go down as one of the most iconic eras. next week looks fantastic too
Yeah, Space Babies was extremely tough to get through. Also 3 musical numbers in the last 4 episodes is quite the choice. Loved the second episode though.
