I really liked him on Shameless, I hated what they did with his character, but I thought he was great for a few seasons. Him as a weird super hero on Doctor Who? Ehhh.
Um, wtf? Did 12 just debut a brand new mutli-color screwdriver on CLASS?!?! Of all things? That's a tad lame.
I didn't know he was actually going to be on that show. Didn't he get a screwdriver in the last Doctor Who finale though?
Oh maybe he did? The last episode was the Christmas special right? I don't remember seeing this screwdriver....but I'll have to watch it again.
the season 9 finale before the Christmas special, but yeah it didn't change colors. (I actually haven't seen the most recent christmas special haha)
BBC is supposed to be developing their own streaming app. So unless that fails, don't expect it to ever be back.
Anyone else watch the Christmas special? I thought it was pretty solid and a lot of fun. Matt Lucas and Capaldi make a good team, haha. And the trailer for series 10 has me excited!
I may be biased because I love superhero narratives, but I thought the Christmas special was fantastic.
I think it's nice to let the new showrunner pick a new Doctor and sort of reboot the series. Capaldi is fantastic, but I'm down for a change. I'm also just sort of falling out with the show, I thought last season was really good but I still had to force myself to watch it.
I'm definitely not as enthralled as I used to be but that may also be because of the long periods between seasons
I love Capaldi. My favorite Doctor. That said, three seasons (esp. if his third season is better than Smith's last, which was my least favorite of the reboot era) is a good amount. 12 and Clara were my favorite Doctor - Companion duo so far. I hope the show opens itself up more after this next season, and continues to keep the romance between the Doctor and companions nonexistent.
