Yeah just....treat it like comics and watch whatever interests you. Im sure very few people, if any, keep up with every Marvel comic book and you don't need to watch every Marvel film/show either.

Even the Wandavision/MOM connection wasn't necessary since it explains her motivation in this one. Apparently Sam Raimi didn't even watch it.

If something feels like homework or a chore, just don't do it.

That was probably only the 15th most corny thing in the film lol

“Okay, fine. Have your corny stuff”

Based Raimi causing Feige to put up the white flag

    Assume It's A Bit

Imagine Raimi having to fight to keep the prolonged eye contact cause it's too corny but getting an instant pass on that dreamwalking montage

Pretty cool that he gave a shoutout to Clea

Its honestly pretty dumb that all of the post credit scenes are strictly for people deep in lore at this point. They don't serve continuity or anything, its just to pop like 5% of the audience. This one and Eternals just seemed so pointless.

They serve future films or are just a bit of fun. Just as most of them do. The very first one (Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man) did both. Far from pointless IMO. I would say to people that don't like them to just leave at the end of the film, but those same people would then moan when the person in the credits shows up in a future film and they don't know who they are.

I will say that as someone who loves the post-credit scenes, I had no idea who Clea was and felt that the mid-credits scene undermined the ending of the film.

    huge ehhhhhh here

Starfox is a guy most people are going to have to look up and then they find out his most prominent storyline involves him being accused of rape. It seemed shoehorned in and I couldn't tell you why.

Raimi ends Strange on a HUGE Evil Dead style ending. Completely wiped away by a scene afterward where he is back to BAU.

I don't feel like either of these are effective whatsoever.

I think the problem with the Clea scene for me is that they don't identify who she is in the scene, so most people will just wonder who this random woman is.

Yea, the whole “if they leave they won’t understand who someone is” argument doesn’t apply here as I had no clue who she was.

I know nothing about the original film, but Sam Raimi following this up by directing another horror flick? Awesome.

16th highest-grossing superhero film of all time and 4th highest film of 2022, which I didn't see coming

I'm not really an MCU person anymore at all, but I liked the first Dr. Stange movie and I'm a big Sam Raimi fan. Finally watched this and thought it was pretty great. It honestly felt to me like a Sam Raimi movie first and a Marvel movie second. That could be because I was just enjoying seeing Sam Raimi play around again with a full on Marvel budget so much.

This type of stuff is what I liked so much about the movie! Seems odd to get Sam Raimi for the job and then not want him to bring it to the table. I love that they ended up going for it and the movie made more than all of the other super hero movies this year.

Also, Doctor Strange running by Rachel McAdams & the kid named America in the halls of the Illuminati HQ and stopping short with his shoes making that squeaky floor noise was my favorite gag in the whole movie.
