Not reading but need help from someone who has seen the movie: Wife is pregnant. Is there a moment in the movie that is best served for her to have a pee break and if so, can you DM me a spoiler free “there’s your cue go go go!”

    love you all lol

My mom is excited for this, Vase. Are you really going to take happiness away from an old woman?

If you haven’t gotten an answer yet there’s a part maybe 40? Minutes in where they end up in a utopian city. That’s when I went to pee

I don't know if we need House of Harkness, but I won't say no to more Kathryn Hahn

Ok, but like… you can get more Kathryn Hahn without getting an Agatha Harkness series, lol.

Counterpoint: I like her as Agatha Harkness and am down with a whole series for her

I think there should be 3 films + 2 shows per year.

There's just no way to quality control 4 films + 4 shows a year. We're bound to get some stinkers.

We could only have one film a year; we're still going to end up having conversations like this.

I think one issue going forward is to fully get one of these movies, you need to see not only a bunch of previous movies but also full seasons of TV shows. It’s too much homework at a point

it could be 20 movies and 40 shows a year and if they showed a coherent sense of direction it'd be fine. six movies and six seasons of tv and no indication of any sort of plot direction or cohesive connection yet

I disagree, well, rather, if you go right away there you lose set up for something that comes back much later in the movie.

There has to an equilibrium between having fewer projects and allowing the universe to expand with more characters. I think years from now we'll look back at phase 4 as the "experimental" phase. It feels like Marvel is going at full speed just to see how well the vehicle handles it.

There is also the challenge of how much "wait and see" there needs to be in these films. Those behind the scenes may enjoy it because they see the bigger picture, but if audiences don't/can't see the same direction then there won't be much anticipation for so many future projects. It's easy to feel overwhelmed if so many projects seem scattered. This sense of no direction coming after long delays certainly doesn't help either.

I don't hate more shows and films, but I think it would be easier to swallow them if there was a clear direction. Starting in 2014 we knew that all films were leading to Infinity War and that caused more interest because you know there's something that the films are building towards.

Phase 4 has shared concepts (multiverse) in a few films but other that it feels like one big "wait and see" which is a burden with so many projects. A few have also been a mess.

But, this is a conversation about movies (and streaming), not comics.

I don't particularly care if there's a big thing that all the movies and shows are building towards as long as the stories they are telling are good (bit hit or miss on that front)
